"Your family immigrated from Africa Europe and Asia and Mexicans have the right just as you to be here"

Mexicans do not have the right to be here and neither does anyone else without proper documentation and approval.

Do these people understand that American citizens usually are not considered "immigrant" after the 3rd generation. most american's have been here for centuries from other countries and some dont even claim that country's blood.
Furthermore, immigration law did not exist 100 200 300 years ago so why do people keep using the forefathers immigration cliché? All you needed was a ticket to sail over to the US back then but now we have something called the law and the law states that it is a crime to enter the US without approval. Simple as that. If there was immigration law back then they would have to go through the same process as foreigners do today.

Is it just me that gets tired of hearing this cliché? these laws are created for a reason.

to those of you stating i am racist, evil or bashing mexicans, pls reread my question. i am not bashing mexicans. i am bashing nothing as a matter of fact. i used Mexican in quotations to reference a quote made by another person and i am merely elaborating on this specific quote. if you read closely, i state that "no one deserves to enter the US without proper documentation and approval" please dont inflict your bias on me when you hear the word "illegal' illegals are not only Mexicans.

i am not talking about mexicans alone. no where in my question do you see me show any signs of hatred or loathe towards Mexicans. i am talking about illegal immigrants.

reading and comphrehension is a virtue.

to those who can only respond with insults and personal attack instead of responding to the question, you show a fine display of ignorance as well as stupidity for your inability to respond accordingly.

looloo-we cant deport citizens of the US. criminals are punished by either prison community service or parole. that is the punishment for a crime. the punishment for illegally entering the US is deportation.

PROUSA- thank u so much. i bow down to you. you said it in a nutshell. i thought the same myself. whenever they hear "deport illegals" they automatically assume we are talking about mexicans and being racist. they are the ones being racist and stereotypical to immediately think we are referencing only mexicans as illegal. furthermore, when did "illegal immigrant" become a race?

2007-02-01 11:01:56 · update #5

what i dont understand is, these same pro-illegals think that because my ancestors came here 400 years ago on a slave ship, that automatically gives approval for illegals to come into the US because they have the right? that sounds really senseless.

2007-02-01 11:17:56 · update #6

or because his family immigrated from Ireland in 1876 that gives illegals justification for entering the US without approval. immigrants in 1876 were immigrants, their descendants are not immigrants.

goldengal-pls tell me that you actually do not believe that....who is claiming american land? no one is. what are u talking about? anyone legally born in american is an american citizen and has the right to claim that name. what does it matter who occupied land hundreds of years ago??? this is about law not who was here first.

You hear them shout but "this is a nation of immigrants." Well let me simply point out that eighty-five percent of the residents of the United States were born here.

How could that preponderance of homegrown Americans justify us being called a "nation of immigrants"?

Certainly we are descendants of immigrants (as is everyone in the world), but that is not the same thing as being an immigrant.

Anyway, such a statement is no justification for continued mass immigration. The inference that "We are a nation of immigrants and, therefore, we must not limit immigration" is a classic example of circular argument.

Because we are a nation of immigrants, we have to allow for massive immigration which, in turn, makes us a nation of immigrants. Hence its circularity.

Circular arguments are invalid in the logical sense by virtue of how they are structured and not what do they mean. They lead to faulty (and, therefore, useless) reasoning in which the thesis (the very thing which is to be proved) is used as a premise in its proof.

And circular arguments certainly do not form a good basis on which to formulate sound public policy.

There are NO valid justifications for illegal aliens ...period.

I like to think of it as a college classroom; if there were 25 people signed up for a certain class, but 300 people showed up (who weren't registered) they shouldn't be there. They should have registered, and if the class was full they should have gone to another class, or just waited till next time.

If an illegal immigrant (from any country) can't legally enter the United States they should keep trying legally, and better their changes of being accepted by speaking English, and educating themselves. If they aren't accepted that isn't an excuse to come invited and expect a welcoming party.

300 years ago there was no written law but you are missing a big point. Back then if people lived on certain pieces of land as the Indians were, that was their home. No law was needed .If other people come onto the land in which they are living, that is called intrusion. Therefore they were illegal aliens. The indians did not live on all the land in North America but the white peole wanted their land. That is called illegal aliens whether you like it or not.

300 hundred years there were no borders. Mexicans were living in California,Arizona,New Mexico and Texas. Mexicans were still living in Texas during the battle of the Alamo. When Texas became a country Mexicans were still living in Texas.

I agree with you in that all immigrants should have their papers in order. That is an ideal situation. Many Mexicans get into the country illegally because they are offered jobs. Kill the offer and you kill the demand. These people who hire them, pay them very little money, so it's good for their business and when things are good for business, some governments think this little pecadillo is alright. Hire illegals, why don't you?

Having said this, I also sympathize with these people. They want the same thing all immigrants of this country have ever wanted: a chance for a better life. Most Americans descend from some immigrant or another. These ancestors came to this country to better themselves. Why not give a little bit of that to today's immigrants?... and why do you single out Mexicans?... There are Koreans, Japanese, Malayans, Russians, all kinds of Eastern Europeans... it's really unfair to bash Mexicans alone

Well I can tell you the truth but it will sound kind of out there. People are acting this way because the media tells them to and shine a favorable light on this subject. They do this because the all of the politicians seem to do this. The politicians do this for two main reasons. One is that massive companies and corporations use illegal immigrants at the cost of regular Americans to cut down cost without leaving the country. Two they are trying to appeal to the Mexican minority/majority. So in other words the people you are talking to are idiots and pawns.

I don't think that people realize that illegal immigration is illegal because it destabilizes the economy. It is also a very serious threat to national security. There is also a synergy that is with illegal immigration and the drug trade. People try to paint the illegal immigrants as great people but statistically they commit more crimes then citizens do. With all they do, I think that the US is justified in striking Mexico militarily. I think we can pay for the 30,000,000 illegals in our country with 30,000,000 Mexicans in Mexico City what do you think.(For all of you mental midgets out there I was joking.)

Let me correct you on one point. Only 20% of Americans are 3rd generation or more. Read the INS studies on this. Most Americans start to build up in migration & population after world war 1. Beside, this country belongs to the Native Indians & no one has the right, whether 3rd or 100 generation (exept the Indians) to say he is the true American ,but the others are not. Third, i don't think law breakers should be rewarded ,not even with quest worker programme. There are people who came legaly, played by the rule, did everything by the book & still waiting in line.

IF a person come here illegal then they are breaking the law everyday there here, the are crimanals no matter if they work or not. Plus they collect more welfare and medical costs to taxpayers then they put back into the system. Then they send money back home so the us looses more money since its not getting spent here. Join the minutemen

Stephanie.
MOST of the people that post on here are legal citizens or other legal immigrants of the U.S. (of ALL races) that complain of the millions of illegal aliens in the U.S.A. ALL illegal aliens. Not just Mexicans. An illegal alien is not a race. Those that support illegal aliens (or those that are themselves illegal aliens) try to make it into a racial issue. It is a argument that has no logic or merit. Are they insinuating that the U.S. only deports illegal aliens from Mexico?? The vast majority of illegal aliens enter the U.S. from our southern border. This is indisputable fact. Border protection and immigration officials, many of which ARE Hispanic and most Americans do not care if an illegal alien is a purple Martian. If they are illegal, they are ILLEGAL. Period. There are exceptions naturally. There ARE racists of ALL races that post on here. But I assume you and most people are intelligent enough to realize this. The majority of people of all races are not racist, and are good decent people.

Most people that cross the border are worth numerous more times than those asshole that are in street corners selling drugs and messing up the united states youth, while what those illegal immigrants do is work and do somthing positive for the economy. They do jobs that people here dont want to do and that is how you treat them. Next time you eat a fruit or vegetable only think and ask yourself "Who picked this up for me from the ground, who grew those things". we should deport all the criminals that are in this country.

And when you say mexicans have no right to be here, you better be trippin girl, cuz you know damn well we initiated a war with them to take half their country, which now makes up the west united states
