I too have a similar problem such as your's, my female pit bull has an obsessive compulsion to lick doors whenever I have her enclosed in the bedroom. Her slobber naturally runs down the door and forms a pool of doggy drool. Why I think she's doing this, is because it's to get my attention, because it sure does. She knows I open the door to notice the dog drool all over the floor, and she wants out.

Go to the pet shop and buy a product called Dog repellant. Put it on a cloth and wipe it over the screen. Then train her not to go near the television. A firm No as she nears the TV followed by a come call. If she stops and comes to you praise her extravagently or give her a treat.

I have no idea why she does it, but you have to teach her not to,, I train dogs and this won't be hard, you have to be stern with her, and get her to do something else, like lay at your feet when watching tv, go to her crate, and when she does this, reward her 1/2 sec later. You can use something special, something she only gets when she stays away from the tv,or goes to the new thing you are getting her to do, dogs really like cheese, so you can try little pieces of cheese. Be patient, and keep your command to one word. After you start to train her from doing this you can never allow her to lick the tv again , or you will have bigger troubles with her! good luck!
