We are not.

This same rumor and media hype comes around every year about this time. I would think that people would have learned to ignore the hot air by now.

The upcoming war with Iran will be developed in such a way so as the USA will be dragged kicking and screaming into it. Iran will hold off the Russians with one or two nukes, and all of Arabia will applaud the nuking of Tel Avie. We will sit on our hands while Israel does major damage to Tehran, but Israel will be forced to back off because of a second possible nuke strike. The current situation of Iran being surrounded will have evaporated. Our involvement will really get into gear when the Iranians use a modern jet, a French model, or an American Tomcat, to do a suicide attack, at full throttle down the stacks of one of our carriers. This will be a nuke nightmare. We can't glass over Iran because the place is surrounded by the innocent who don't need the fall out. It'll be done the hard way, door to door. Imagine the faces of the democratic steering committee when they have to pony up 100 million, and draft a million men to do it. A preemptive attack at this time, could buy us time, but the rest of the world will suffer more from the Iranian assault than we will. Perhaps a coalition will be possible. Perhaps the Kurds will take what is left.
. Sweet dreams.

isn't it exciting how the violence has began again in Lebanon and is increasing in Iraq? i'm satisfied those carriers are transferring in to position. I pray that some solid comes of it. I hate that those loopy enthusiasts are killing and maiming possibility free people. maximum Iraqis and all Lebanese have suffered way too a lot violence for decades. There must be an end to their suffering and a time of peace and prosperity there.

Don't worry. That will be coming very soon. I would say on or before April. The Patriot missiles are already stationed. The aircraft-carriers are already in the Persian Gulf.

No one will give any order to GWB to attack Iran. He is the Commander in Chief and it his decision to attack or not to attack. Personally, I wish we would. Iran is the central bad guy in all of this. They are supplying the insurgents with money and arms. They are setting off bombs in Bahgdad. They are at the root of the entire problem. We whip them and things get better overnight.

What, again?

America attacked Iran years ago. Or at least, they paid a young Iraqi by the name of Saddam Hussein to do the job for them.

Very likely...never.
It would be political suicide. And democrats are historically shown to have no grasp of national security.. they are much better at cutting the military spending then dumping money on them when someone else starts a war with us.
