What part of LI. The east end is far from Manhattan. However, in the city I would go to Union Square to hang out. Very Young, hip, and trendy. Great restaurants.

Clubs are overrated but you can always go to the Copa or Exit. There are places that offer a lot of prom after parties.

Hard Rock Cafe is pretty cool (: .. its a nice setting and they have good food..
