I'm a Buddhist, not necessarily and atheist. Coincidentally I'm a former Southern Baptist. I changed because I don't believe anymore either. As far as I'm concerned, if there is one god then there are more. No one ever witnessed to me to change me to Buddhism, I believe that forcing another person or trying to force them to your religion is crime of vanity. It makes the world a terrible place to live. Take the Great Crusades for instance, or maybe that holocaust thing. Sure it was a racial thing but most of Germany, including Hitler were Catholics. I don't find that a coincidence. Good luck. I hope you live a long, prosperous peaceful life. I also hope you find peace from your religious stalkers.

Well, I'm not an Atheist but most people refer to Agnosticism as Atheism anyway. Firstly, yes, I believe that we all came from mammals, I believe in the theory of evolution simply because that is what I choose to believe. While there is no way in proving evolution, it is just what I can accept scientifically. The big bang theory is the theory that matter and anti-matter hit each other at the beginning of time. This creates a massive amount of energy and from Einstein's formula, we can deduct that Mass is produced from that massive energy. Therefore, earth and the galaxy. From this, earth is created, then as time goes on, in a very long time after the big bang, life started out from proteins. Protein evolved into an insignificant life. If this condition is simulated now, it is impossible to simulate, because the insignificant life would be killed off instantly by other form of beings like planktons an bacterias. However, in the beginning of the world where there was no life, these insignificant lives manage to live. All those being said, I am simply envious of religious people. They can believe in a higher being. They can believe that this life is not just a random sets of numbers in nature and that all of this in life are just, as a matter of fact, randomness. However, no matter how much I want to believe in religion, I can't believe in any religion, unless they can prove what I know as wrong. Also, I used to go to Catholic and Christian school and my parents are Buddhist, so I know quite a lot about religion but none has convinced me and so I'm an Agnostic.

A whole lotta people! The trouble is, since non-Christians are individuals they don't tend to congregate in special groups on a weekly basis and are harder to find.

i think that there are a lot of us that feel the same way. we are in the minority, but that doesn't mean we are wrong. the christians are very comfortable spewing their religion because there are a lot of them. unless they know otherwise, they assume that anyone they meet is of the same mind as they are. as far as i know there isn't another atheist in my town.

The Bible says, the fool hath said in his heart - there is no God.
All Christians have doubts from time to time, but its what we do with the doubt is important.
Take captive every negative thought, and make it obedient to Christ.
It is worse to turn back, than to never have believed.

The same thing happened to me. I was raised a Catholic, but I realized at about age 13 that it just couldn't be.
