no true atheist would have reason to hate homosexuals, because there IS no reason.
they actually benifit humans, they lower birth rates, this planet is way too overpopulated.

You seem to group Atheist and Agnostic together.
<
* "I believe God(s) exist(s)" means that "I know God(s) exist(s)".
* "I believe God(s) exist(s)" can still mean "I don't know if God(s) exist(s)".>>
To answer your question: I am an atheist. I think certain acts of homosexuality are wrong.

In communist countries the persecution of gays is well documented. Communist societies were atheistic and hostile toward religions of all kinds. In Albania during it's communist days the number 2 man no less would make a tour every Sunday looking for gays to round up and execute. Germany during the Nazi regime sent homosexuals to the death camps because they were "racially inferior", not due to any religion (Ironically, the OSS documented at least 2 homosexual encounters Hitler had).

It would seem that people who just hate other people for being different from them will most likely be at the head of the line during that So-called judgment day. Being fanatical takes many forms. Unfortunately, it would seem that some people are just addicted to body fluids. Did you ever look into a can of worms and wonder if they were having fun?

I'm a Buddhist. I see homosexuality as a crime of nature not a sin. Because of homosexuality there are nice deceases like HIV, AID, herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis. It isn't natural, however if you are gay then it is a personal choice and all people have that right. That being the case, others have the right to disagree. I don't hate gays or look down on them, I just don't agree with that choice.

I think that there must be some who believe that homosexuality is wrong but they base it on their own experiences of life and intellect, and don't base it on religion. Personally, I think we should just live and let live and kind of try to get along as the human race, rather than as Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc.

There may be, but I am not one of them. The number surely must be small, as atheists rely on evidence to reach conclusions, and there is no evidence to support a notion that homosexuality is somehow an evil thing.

I know some atheist/agnostic people who are totally grossed out by it and make rude comments about it. I've heard some of them say it's wrong because it's 'not natural' rather than calling it 'morally wrong'.

a super form of those human beings supply thumbs down on those comments approximately how the bible says it incredibly is incorrect, or the products don't greater healthful, and so on. or remark on why homosexuality is sturdy. they're merely as undesirable as those people who say it incredibly is undesirable. Me? for my section, i've got faith it to be incorrect. The Bible says it incredibly is incorrect, and enable us to assume that the Bible is authentic, through fact it needless to say is for motives i don't care to get into authentic now, and in case you do not have faith in the Bible against all info that it incredibly is actual, think of of the STDs brought about by gay intercourse. it incredibly is a actual reason homosexuality is incorrect. besides, it incredibly is risk-free to assume that those left-wing everybody is in all threat a greater robust proportion greater atheists, and without God, human beings lose their ethical compass, that's why they turn to accepting this disgusting existence form; through fact they have not have been given any foundation to pass off of, and because they decline to settle for The Lord Jesus Christ to lead them.

I don't. I was raised in Colorado, and at the time there was an anti-gay attitude we just grew up with. Religion wasn't really a part of it for me, that's just the way it was and no one questioned why.
Going off to college and living in four different states showed me that although it's not the lifestyle for me, homosexuals didn't alter my life in any way and are just people. Just like you and me, just with different tastes in partners. No big deal.
Three members of my family are gay, many coworkers are gay, many of my wife's friends are gay, and you know what? Their gayness doesn't make me gay. Rather surprising to the "gay disease" ideologists, I'm sure.
The ones that quote Leviticus are full of crap. the bible is a book open to individual interpretation, and thus any hatred towards gays because of that passage is not due to God's dislike of homosexuality.

yeah, you get bigots across all denominations. Although some religions have stanzas in their holy books saying homosexuality is wrong so that would leave all followers of that religion in an uncomfortable position.
I think people who think homosexuality is wrong or who think it is a 'choice' should be prohibited from breeding.
