to find non-physical things just about as useful as using a metal detector to find a plastic jug.
I know the scientific method can find evidences/non-evidences of spiritual stories. But can it really find what's at the heart of those stories? Can it really find deity, or revelation, or spiritual beings? Or are those things the "plastic" to a metal detector?
If it can be used, please share how.
If it can't, are there any other viable ways for us to gain knowledge about spiritual things?

Our physical bodies limit us in how we connect to the divine. We have to trancend them to connect, so no, physicality will not help us.
