My husband is trying to convince me to have a baby. I told him I would have a baby on the condition that he go to a lactation specialist and learn to express milk from his nipples. I know it can be done, as I've already done some research on it. I just feel it's only fair if I'm going to carry the baby for 9 months, then it's his job to feed it, but I don't want our baby to be on formula and I don't want to be bothered with pumping my breast. How can I convince him to do it? He fears that he will be looked at weird. I assured him he wouldn't be.

What is a troll?
A `troll' is an individual who enjoys creating conflict on the internet. He or she creates and fuels arguments which upset other members of the online community.
Trolls thrive in the anonymous space that is the internet. Trolls crave attention from others, and they don't care whether the attention is positive or negative. For trolls, other users are not quite real people; they are abstract characters on the other side of a computer screen. Trolls don't feel bad about hurting the feelings of other people in the digital space.

Trolls view chat rooms and newsgroups as a challenge where the winner is the user who creates the biggest argument, the user who upsets the most people in the most dramatic way. A troll wants to be the user getting the most attention.

Troll behavior discourages many users and makes for a less vibrant online community. New users may not post because they fear ridicule. Established posters may leave an online community because the noise has overwhelmed the real discussion. Trolls can make an entire community paranoid, leading users to become negative or to accuse a user engaged in normal criticism as a troll.

Men were not made to breastfeed! How would you like to suckle a hairy nipple? With thoughts like these - and if you are serious - maybe you are not fit to be a mother. No child ever died from drinking formula! If you're that opposed to breast feeding (or feeding your child at all) pass the child to your husband when he/she needs to eat and let him give a bottle - then you can wash your hands of it. Oh yea - he should take the mat leave as well!

Although everyone has glands that can potentally produce milk, it is unatural for a man to breastfeed. In Africa men breastfeed because there is not enough food to go around and the baby would starve otherwise. In this country, a man breastfeeding would be considered unnessary if the baby has a mother who can. I don't think you should force your husband to breastfeed. He might despise you for it later in life and it is not critical he breastfeed for the health of your baby. If he's taking care of you while you're pregnant and after, and rubbing your feet, doing the laundry, etc., in my opinion that should be enough. Making is breastfeed is going too far.

he will be looked at weird and why would you let your baby drink any body fluid that comes from a man?
Don't have kids....get a PUPPY! Yay for puppies!
Anyways sweety, you can hire a wet nurse who is a lady that will breast feed your baby for you.
Asking your husband to breast feed your child is an unrealistic request, and if you're serious then deciding whether or not to have kids is not your biggest issue right now.

I know it can be done ( with the right hormonal stimulation ) but why would you even want him to do that??? You are gonna produce milk any way so why to put him throu this to? I mean, is there any real reason why you want him to do it, or is it just being selfish so that if you have to " suffer " ( if one can call that suffering ) he has to do it to!?!? I think that is just mean of you, you will not be gaining anything from that ( except few minutes more of free time ), and he wil have to go throu all of this for no reason!
P.S. I apologise for my bad english

I can honestly say I've never heard of such a thing. How is it even possible. Men arent' born with milk ducts. Women are traditionally the care givers which include the nursing. If it is true that men can extract, then just like some women can't produce milk, what if he can't. Will you leave him?

If you don't want to have a child then just say so. Trying to go against nature is just wrong. Men are not meant to breast feed. You should not be having children until you see a therapist because you have some major issues to work out.

Can that be done????? A man breast-feeding is just too weird and so totally unnatural. Don't be so lazy, if you don't want to do the feeding (or couldn't be bothered) your gonna have to use formula or maybe you shouldn't have a child.........

I think you shouldn't be having a baby, considering that you are so full of yourself. You can't be selfish when children are involved. I read your past questions and If this is a real scenario....I feel so sorry for your poor husband. Don't be surprised if divorce is in your future.
