There are quite a few people in the room during any kind of significant surgery. If the doctor actually performing the surgery just dropped dead, he would be whisked away and another doctor would step in to finish on the patient.

Not much point working on the Doctor if he's dead?! !!
But I guess they would just call the crash team, zap the Doctor (just in case they can bring him back into the Land of the Living) and keep working on the patient!

The other doctors would of course work on the patient as the doctor is already dead

If the doctor died.....there's nothing to work on. He's dead. So, the other doctors would continue to work on the patient. Kidding aside, the patient always comes first.

No, if he died then they can't do anything for him. Most likely they would call in other doctors right away to work on both of you..if there is any hope for the doctor.

If a doctor were to die while doing surgery, there are usually a couple of doctors that perform a surgery, so the other doctor in the room would take over the surgery. The staff assisting in procedure would call the emergency response team that is set up in all hospitals and they would come to assit the fallen doctor.

Why work on the doctor? He's dead. Take care of the patient.

well usually they have 2 doctors present in an operation,or they have a fellow doctor that is there as well they would have to try and save the doctor and see to the patient at the same time,i would presume makes sense i think,

Presumably the patient as it would be pointless working on a corpse
