My son was diagnosed at the age of three weeks with a seizure disorder. At the time, it was IS but then downgraded to just a "fluke" he was born with since they found no cause. Check the link to the question below. This guy actually claims that epilepsy is demon possession and that medication or surgery does not work. I know from dealing with it that medication when given properly does work. My own son is on phenobarb right now. He was just put back on after a very high fever from the flu triggered his seizures. How can people be so ignorant and uneducated in the year 2007?

He had every test in the book performed. MRI's, Spinal taps, EKG's, so much blood work, I mean, they did everything. Genetics, too. Nothing at all. Nothing wrong with his chromosomes and all of those other funny sounding names. For meningitis and a few others, we were put in isolation for three days. It scared me greatly because all of a sudden they started walking in covered from head to foot and saying we couldn't leave the room until they had the tests back. He never bumped his head, never had a fall, nothing.

I have a Son with very severe epilepsy and I was told by Christians that if I gave up smoking then God would heal him,I walked away before I lost it with them, every case is unique and perhaps and I only say perhaps that in some cases demons can cause someone to have this or similar conditions as all things can be possible, however if medication controls the condition then it is not demon posession,St.Paul is said to have had epilepsy and I don`t think that he was possessed, perhaps you could ask for his intercession on behalf of your Son,it couldn`t do any harm.

Sweetie,

I know that you're looking for an answer to the question you asked, but I just want to point you towards some important information about phenobarbitol and vitamins & minerals.

Phenobarbitol depletes some nutrients from the sytem, and either decreases absorbtion of, or interacts badly with, others.

I had a friend who had seizures and was on phenobarb, and I did research on nutrient interactions so I could help her. There are things you can do for your son in the area of nutrition wthat will help him.

It sounds like some type of infection like meningitis. Some people have abnormalities around the neck and skull area that when they have swelling it can cause problems.I used to have seizures when I was younger and was sensitive to milk/dairy products. Two of my children now also have seizures. I would suspect something do do with fluid building up around the brain stem. But,I'm not a specialist. If you are breast feeding it might be something you are consuming. Maybe it was caused from delivery too. Good luck anyway.

all of us circulate by using this section which you're speaking approximately. you're no longer stupid or an fool. try slowing down somewhat, think of roughly something until eventually now you do it like understanding which you may't take an iPod aside. they're so small that robotics positioned them together try being somewhat greater prepared. continuously putting an merchandise lower back in a similar place whether or no longer this is in a similar pocket or place on your room. do no longer set your cellular telephone down in a eating place or everywhere yet your handbag or pocket so in case you get distracted you will no longer walk off without it. all of us drop issues, we've all broken something. this is why they're referred to as injuries no longer on purpose. you're no longer a waste! the next day is a sparkling day and the commencing up of the hot you questioning issues by using somewhat greater & being greater extensive wide awake of what you're doing & your ecosystem. If there's a sequence lower back only think of to your self now why did I even have that digicam so on the fringe of the water. the subsequent time you will endure in innovations. all of us stay & study

Hi, Thanks for the link. Yep, kinda odd question and I understand your sensitivity given your situation.

I'm feel for your son's medical problem and hope that through medical treatment he is able to lead a normal life.

Coming from a less invested perspective, I actually find many of the answers more offensive and uneducated than the question.

The question, while seemingly genuine (however odd) is no stranger, less educated, more offensive, or odd than most of the often flagerant attacting questions posed in this catagory.

It takes all types, this one unforuately just hit home for you. It happens to each of us at times.

Love ya, and best wishes to your son!

My Mother had epilepsy and did not have a demon in her. She was for many years living lost and without Jesus as her personal Savior, and was saved at the age of 74 at our Church revival. Praise the Lord. My Mother died 10 years later and no longer has epilepsy.

God can either choose to heal us here on earth or heal us upon death. How you live is a choice we all have to make before we die . Choose to live according to the Word of God, and receive many of God's miracles in life.

Choose to go against the Word of God and you stand alone and have to deal with everything all by yourself, that satan got you into, and he's not going to get your out of any of it either.

You are allowing the ignorance of man work you up into a lather. Don't ever give anyone that kind of power over you like that.

Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Yeah its very bronze age mentality, hey whats a smart girl like you doing being an Islamic? Not meaning to offend or anything just curious. I left christianity after the hypocracy, but it doesnt help that christians think demons cause things either.

I think that it is possible that a particular case can be demon possessed. But I do not think that all cases are that way. If your son is responding to treatment, I would take that as evidence that it is not demon possession. Rather, the sin that is our nature is evident even in our young people.

I know that it is not typical Muslim thought that a baby can be a sinner, but this is just evidence of what the sin nature does to people. It shows up as being something that is not perfect. As we all have that nature in us, and none of us is perfect. I think that being born with disabilities is evidence of the nature of sin in us. It doesn't make us bad people ( the disability) , mind you. It only speaks of the things that we must ALL face everyday, we cannot please God by thinking that we are 'good'. But to trust Him through Jesus Christ brings His love in our lives, and the ability to do His will. He then declares us righteous because of the covering that Jesus provided for us.

So I am glad that you have a baby. You must love that kid so much. I don't even know who you are, but I think that I love you too. Peace always. ( :

EDITED: For clarification.

It's a great example of how people just believe in their religion without taking the time to think about it.
Seizures have been mistaken for demonic possesion throughout history. Maybe a select few were, who knows? But without knowing your child how could anyone say that? It's just pure ignorance on their part.
