How many more times do we have to answer this question? Wasps are important for various reason like bees they help pollinate plants. they eat the eggs of some insects like flies which is why butchers like them. They provide food for some birds and are an important part of the food chain. they only sting when attacked or provoked so if you have one flying around at you picnic just ignore it. It is to small to eat all of the jam and it will fly away when it is full.

i agree-unlike any animal, with the exception of the owl and the Australian, they serve no purpose. They're not in the food chain, they cant make honey and they are not fluffy.God has a way of extinguishing it's useless creations like the dinosaur and the dodo, but the pointy yet pointless wasp soldiers on WHY?
they can smell sugar from 5 miles away, how?sugar dosent smell
And they are vindictive.every creature will attack when hungry or threatened but wasps will attack you if you have annoyed them.
furthermore, they are bloody indestructible. Ive come to the conclusion they are not from our planet

wasps do a marginally slice of good they do inadvertently pollinate but they have no real purpose as they evovled from the bee quite accidently and if things continue as they are they will soon be extinct

I'm sure they, like all creatures, must have a purpose for something. Only thing i can think of is to annoy the hell out of you if you're sitting outside having a drink on a nice summer's day........

I looked it up and it seems that they eat ants that eat leaves of fruit plants. They eat white flies too. I'd rather the ants.
