is it true that many christians beleive that the bible states there will be a time when christians will have to use "rise up" physical force? surely this would go against everything jesus taught? im asking because im watching a programme on that davidian thing.

btw i am not a christian but know about it from my philosophy class. this question is not an attack on christianity as it is someone's belief and should be treated with respect, so no stupid answers please

The bible does not teach that Christians are to rise up against others. In fact when Jesus was turned over to be crucified Peter was rebuked for taking out his sword and cutting a guards ear off. The bible makes it clear that Jesus will judge the earth when he returns and there will be nowhere to hide from him. We Christians however are in a spiritual war and should be fighting through prayer.

This is the first I've ever heard of that. The Bible says the Christian's warfare is spiritual, not physical.

This doesn't exist so you were misinformed. That is a cult teaching created by out of context reading of the Bible much like Atheists like to do.

no, that is not true at all. The Bible teaches that we should trust in the Lord to fight our battles for us.
