Surprisingly many people don't actually know where their kidneys are so be careful. If you have pain, burning and frequency as well it may be infection. Either way you need to see a GP. Bring a urine sample with you when you go.

Yeah could be kidney stones.A good way to know if it is and to see if you pass the stones, Take a coffee filter and ever time you urinate do it through the coffee filter. The ones I passed were brown color could varies resemble a little rock and can very in size from the size of the tip of pen or smaller or larger. This would be a good Idea to do this any ways as if you end up in ER and they diagnose you with kidney stones the first thing they ask is have you passed any yet.Good luck.

O.K....now you realize that if you have a kidney infection, the pain is in your lower back to the side? If you do, then you need to drink tons of water and drink lots of cranberry juice. That should help. If you can get lots down tonight, even just the water, you should feel better by morning. If not, make a doctor appointment. Get well.

X-ray, MRI or CT scan will show a tumor. have you ever had an X-ray done for that area??? There are also cases where the colon or intestines get twisted around. An X-ray, I think, should also show that.

Do not take it lightly by posting on the internet. It can be anything - so just go to a physician, tell him or her about it with clear symptoms that you have and leave it to him. If you are referred to a specialist go happily. Bottomline: DO NOT DELAY.
