I like this girl in my school but we don't have any classes together and I haven't really talked to her except for the few times I said "hi" to her in the first semester when we did have a class together... How do you think I should approach her, I don't want her to figure out that I like her straight away but I can't talk with her during passing time unless I find out where she is during passing time...

First, find out a couple of places where she usually is during the day. This is important, once you know, you can casually approach her and strike up a conversation.

Being of the female gender myself I can say that girls love to be complemented. So complement her on something WITHOUT being creepy, i.e. stay away from physical descriptions. "Laura, I really liked your article in the newspaper." or "Jenny, that was an awesome goal you scored at the game last night." They comments can be followed up with "How long have you worked for the newspaper?" or "How long have you played soccer?"

The point is to get you on her radar. Remember what she says in your conversations and bring it up the next time you talk, "How's your sister feeling?" "Did you get the books you needed for that report?" This shows you care and you LISTEN to her, both are very important traits.

If you think the two of you have a rapport, then ask her to "hang out sometime." That phrasing is very important. You know you're asking her out, and she knows it too, but it is casual enough that no one is put in too awkward a position if one person decides they don't feel the same way. Suggest something like a movie, with a coffee trip afterward. It sticks to the casual theme.

TIP: If you are feeling brave, bring her a simple bouquet of flowers. It makes us girls swoon, trust me.
