I my dream it was like a choice but have been backslidden for sometime when I started having these dreams. But I had another one after I recently rededicated my life to God. Does this mean I might be fixing to die? Or do you think it is God just telling me I need to get closer to Him?

You start life with a rather large aliquot of mercy, especially since God understands that you are beginning in total ignorance and helplessness.

Around two years old, you begin to develop a will of your own. Ask your Mother if you do not remember this.

We also start learning things, even the slowest amongst us.

So, you see the beginnings of WILL and KNOWLEDGE.

If you are young and have only recently started seeing the light, do not concern yourself, your mercy is not exhausted.

Remember, the Apostle Paul helped to persecute and kill Christians before he saw the light....

If anyone has done any great wrongs, now is the time to repent and change one's life.

Jesus said, "My yoke is easy, my burden is light...."

It is very easy to improve oneself a little each day, even while recognizing occasionally that one is still imperfect, or perhaps a sinner in some way.

Try to help yourself and also ask God for help. Remember, he said, "Which of you has a father who will give a stone to his son when he asks for bread?" Something like that, right?

And then, "If your earthly father will not do that, what can you expect from your [PERFECT & ALL POWERFUL] Heavenly Father?"

Emanuel Swedenborg is one famous person who dreamt much about Heaven and Hell.

I read ALL his books, but I am going to be very BOLD and say you are better off starting in my blog.

Then continue following pointers (HINT: the ones you see right in front of you and in your own life).

If this search is more important than a "409" or whatever (ask someone over 40) then you will be highly satisfied.

Like someone who found the ideal thirst quencher, YES?

[see in New Testament about the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well]

Stick to things that have a RING of truth. Do not indulge overly much in fantasies.

When you have more real experience -- on the correct road -- you will know for sure how you stand with God.

At that point, I hope your name will be glowing in The Book of Life.

The Spirit of Truth from Christ will lead you into all things true, good and beautiful and will confirm your path, if you choose to be a child of light.

I agree also with the other respondent who says "much of what we dream is just that -- dreams -- our mind defragging while we sleep, especially when young." Not an exact quote, I know, but this makes two of us, including one older.

When you have a REAL prophetic vision, IF you ever do, and these do not come often, it will be CRYSTAL CLEAR, unlike anything you have ever seen before.

If you put it into words, the words will RING for others, too.

Be real careful about how much you put into this; of course it could be some deep message for you, but just as likely it could be something you ate before you went to sleep. I kid you not;
I'm not being silly here.
You don't really need a dream for God to tell you to get closer to Him; He says that to us all the time. Alot of times, when we screw up, its God screaming at us to shape up, ya know?
Also, just as a side-note, you said you recently re-dedicated your life to God. Well, I know some people may have you believe that when ya do that, your life is all cheery and a rose garden, and nothing goes wrong. Well, as you probably know, thats a bunch of garbage. It actually feels like someone left the barn door open and all the horses are running over you. Look, you may not be aware of what God has planned for you in His service, but Satan sure does, and he's gonna do everything possible to get you away from doing it. Remember, this spiritual war isn't over until Christ returns. Keep that in mind. Keep grounded and focused, and be careful you don't allow junk to enter your mind that will interfere with things. Hang tough, and make sure you talk to your Heavenly Father about this. He's the closest relative you have.

Every dream has a meaning and everything in the dream has a meaning...
Heaven:To see heaven in your dream, signifies your desires to find perfect happiness. You may be trying to escape from the difficulties you are experiencing in your life. And your dream serves as a medium in which you can restore your faith, optimism, and hopes.
Hell:To dream of hell, denotes that you may be suffering from a seemingly inescapable situation. You may have placed your decision or course of action into someone else's hand. Alternatively, you may be possessing many inner fears and repressed guilty feelings. It is time to quit punishing yourself and take it easy for awhile.

Yes. I had a dream that I died and my soul went to a dark place on top of a red-like cliff. Then I saw a light come towards me. Somehow I knew it was God, and eventually, something inside of me realized I was going to hell. To make the long story short, I ended up taking over hell.

If I were dreaming about the choice, I would promptly seek a closer relationship with Him.

Yes-many people do.

No, there is no FORETELLING of ones death.

NO, it is NOT THE GOD sending you a message.

DREAMS ARE THE WAY YOUR MID DEFRAGS-- JUST LIKE YOUR COMPUTER.
NO MEANING AT ALL .....We have a tendency to string the fragments together and come up with a little bit of a story.

I once dreamed i resurrected from my grave, does that count? I believe that there is no afterlife until you have resurrected. Ín my belief, there's only two chocies: eternal life or annihilation.
