I'm actually Agnostic, but I will answer anyway.
In a way I do because I would not have to worry about upsetting my family or have people judge me a certain way. No matter how hard I tried though, it always felt like I was faking.

I think any atheist would be crazy not to want a god to exist because that would mean eternal life after death. But atheists tend to use their observational skills and logic, which leads them to believe that there is no god. It takes something like blind faith to believe that there is some life form that has created us, living in a place called heaven, knowing everything that has and will happen, hears all prayers simultaneously prayed throughout the world, and is all good rather than just okay or sometimes bad or whatever a person can be. I wish there was a god to heal suffering and bring the world together--but there are so many different religions and many of them are intolerant of other beliefs. Why is that? Is it because you believe that strength wins out? That if a Shi'ite kills a Sunni, for example, or the Christians are fed to the lions, or the Crusades kills so many, or Jerico does the same, does that make the winner "right"?
I think that if there really is a god, it (god cannot have a gender according to the attributes we give god) would have shown itself, brought about world peace, and made this planet better.

I don't wish the god of the bible exists because that god is evil. If there was an all-loving god who would give me eternal happiness but did not require worship I would definitely like that.

I'm neutral on the issue, I really don't have an opinion. I'd be more inclined to wish there was an "afterlife" in a sense (though not in the religious concept of it), but gods...I really don't care.

No! Why would we wish there was a God! I don't believe in God and my life is fine! It is what it is.

no, when I wished there was a God I believed in one. Like when I wanted money for my baby teeth, or chocolate at Easter i believed in the tooth fairy, and Easter Bunny. Now I am an adult, and I take care of myself

No. And particularly not the god of the three abrahamic religions. What a horrifying figure.

My son is my God, he can do much much more for me than any God will ever do... he has given me reason... he loves me unconditionally, as i do him... and he gives me guidance... he is all i need in life... not some God who gives false promises... some fictional God whose stories promise to hold everyone down, keep us all in line, threaten us... the list goes on...
My son and my major organs are all i need in life

lmao, no. If we wished there was a God then we would believe in one. I personally do not want my fate already drawn out by some immortal being. I like the idea of controlling my own life.
