I think you have been watching too many films like the Exorist and reading way too much into it. As a child I had Epilepsy and now I don't. It was once unknown but now, with the devolopment of the EEG (electroencephaloram), which was developed in 1929, the technique has made it possible to demonstrate that different varities of epilepsy are associated with different abnormal electrical rhythms in the brain. some epilepsy can be symtomatic caused by things such as infection, tumour, trauma, toxic chemicals in the brain, very high fever, neurological disorders. Pathic seizures are likely to be caused by abnormal neurological activity in the brain. something to do with the that is probably a good place to start, research every medical condition that could effect the brain, I think you'll be their for a while, but it is good education in the meantime I love reading this, it is interesting, research would be a good option. For me it was unknown, but when I started eating only lots of fruit and veg they got less and less then they stopped. that was when I was 5, 25 yrs ago. I apperantly had them from 6 weeks old, now I have Bi polar which effects the same part of the Brain.

Even if you don't have epilepsy there are a great many other seizure disorders, some of which are more dangerous than others. I assume you are on anti-seizure drugs for this, and at least there are quite a few different options in such medications nowadays. If you are not having great success with one then your doctor should try another until you find one that works well for you. As to demonic possession, I don't believe in such a thing, and to my knowledge it would take a fairly literal reading of the Bible to infer that seizures could be caused by such a thing.

OK, if you are so caught up with technology in this day in age, how in the world is it that you are going to revert back in to the Dark Ages and still wonder if demonic possession is the cause of epileptic seizures?
OK here it is--the reason for seizures--to much electricity in the brain.
Depending on where the excess of electrical currents are in the brain, depends on the type of seizures that one is diagnosed with.

Some of them could be of a spiritual origin, I seen a movie based on a true story where they could not control this boy seizures to the point where they became so common that they feared brain damage from the lack of oxygen to the brain. They tried a treatment with fasting and a special diet and it controlled the seizures to the point that the people involved never had another one. Remember what Jesus said about prayer and fasting to drive the epileptic spirit out of the boy

(Matthew 17:21) Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

The Bible does not support the view that epilepsy is necessarily caused by demons. At Matthew 4:24 it says that people brought to Jesus “all those faring badly, distressed with various diseases and torments, demon-possessed and epileptic and paralyzed persons, and he cured them.” Note that it says, Jesus cured persons who were “demon-possessed and epileptic.” Thus, the Bible draws a distinction between demon-possession and epilepsy.

It is true that the Bible shows that demons can cause epilepsy. One case is recorded in which a demon periodically caused a boy to fall to the ground, roll around violently, foam at the mouth and demonstrate other symptoms of epilepsy. (Mark 9:14-29) Yet the Bible also shows that demons could cause dumbness, saying: “People brought [Jesus] a dumb man possessed of a demon; and after the demon had been expelled the dumb man spoke.” Also the Bible explains that a man’s blindness was caused by a demon.—Matt. 9:32, 33; 12:22.

But by showing that the demons have power to cause physical disorders, the Bible is in no way indicating that blindness, dumbness and epilepsy are generally caused by wicked spirits, or demons. Physical causes are behind most of these disorders.

You need to get your mind out of the Dark Ages my friend. Epilepsy, and various other illnesses that effect the brain are NOT caused by demonic possession. It's people who had your mind set that caused many innocents in the past to be tortured and even murdered because it was thought they were possessed by evil spirits. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Possession could certainly cause seizures, but the presence of seizures does not signify that the person must be demonized.
