I have three FEMALE dogs with a humping problem. Normal or not?

I have a 2 year old Female Chihuahua\Pomeranian mix who stands about 6 inches high and whieghs 6 pounds. She acts normal, except fo r the fact that she likes to... ummm.... hump things..... like...um .... people, like when I kneel down to pick thigs up she jumps up on my back and goes for my neck, or I'll be laying on the couch watching TV and she goes for my legs. She isnt spayed yet and has had 2 litters of puppies. So, you would think she would know how it works. My 3 year old female black lab dalmation also does the same thing except she is spayed and instead of people she does the couch AND my other dog who is a 2 year old female Pitt bull (who also humps just not as much as the other 2). This is very strange to me, even though sometimes people find it amuzing that my 3 female dogs hump. Even I somtimes find it very funny. I am fine with it as long as its normal. So, Is it normal or not?

Please, I just want to know if its normal or not! Why isn't any one answering???????

My female beagle did that before she went in heat. she didn't do it anymore after she got fixed... i read somewhere it is also a way of showing dominance, Not sure why they still do it after being spayed i think they are trying to establish dominance

I don't know why dogs do this and I don't know if it is normal or not. I have a neutered male Pomerian who humps a stuffed toy of his and whenever I catch him I tell him no, in a stern voice and he stops. Whether or not having your animal spayed will help who knows, you will just have to see if that is what you are planning on doing.
I know what you mean by being funny, sometimes my dogs looks quilty when I tell him NO, almost as if he knows he should't be doing this.

that's dominance.She needs to benefit which you and your boyfriend are the leaders in the enjoyed ones. yet, on the grounds that she's been doing this for this sort of long term, its ingrained in her. I have several girl dogs that do that, but its to each other and one has some stuffed animals she humps. I don't think there is any thing wrong its normal to them ,I think they are trying to show dominance to something.
