You can go to ajc.com and they have a school guide. They list every school in most of the counties surrounding Atlanta. They list things like how experienced the teachers are, how many kids receive free lunches, What classes are taught and the average class size. I used it when we were looking for a house.

Traffic sucks everywhere in ATL if you have to drive from the suburbs into town you can not escape it. I have lived in Stone Mountain, Norcross, Stockbridge, Douglasville and Dallas. Stone Mountain was great growing up but not a place you would want to live now. Norcross is just boring. Stockbridge is growing. Douglasville is full of Rednecks. Dallas is very pretty there is still a lot of farm land that has not been sold to developers.

Cumming is way out of town but nice. I lived in Duluth and Suwanee, but if I went back I'd choose Alpharetta. traffic is bad in Atlanta no matter where you live. Find a place near where you work or near MARTA.

I have a guide from Atlanta Parent Magazine that you can look at in the source section and the top five recomendations I would tell you to maybe live in included;

1. Newnan in Coweta County.
2. Fayetteville in Fayette County.
3. Villa Rica in Carroll County
4. Marietta in Cobb County.
5. Atlanta in Fulton County.

Alpharetta is where you want to live. Cumming is a bit further north of alpharetta, but as long as your not driving into the city for work, your fine. taxes are lower in forsyth county (cumming) than in fulton county (alpharetta)

It gets so hot in the summer there the living envy the dead. They have all these private schools called christian schools were people pay to send their kids so they dont have to go to public school with the crackers.

All I know is I would not live in that area if I was paid million dollars simply because of the traffic, It is unreal.
