Would getting a green card to live with my soon-to-be husband who is currently with the American Air Force be harder to get because of his job or easier or no differance?( I am Canadian ) Would he have to talk to someone from his base to apply for my green card? Any links or help would be great.

My husband is in the Army National Guard, we've been married for over 2 years and I still don't have my GreenCard. We couldn't do the interview because he was deployed to Iraq for a year - that was the only thing that made it more difficult. Otherwise I don't think our process is any different from anyone elses (or easier for that matter...). He doesn't need anyone from his base to sign anything or get permission from someone. Just be sure to send in all the paperwork and the according attachments - they'll send it right back to you if something is missing or incorrect.

Also, the USCIS is raising the fees by possibly 80% (!!!), so file as soon as you can. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16907538/

I dont think so. On the contrary it would be faster since the background checks is going to be clean, for him at least (hope).
Just apply.

The process is absolutely no different from any other American citizen doing it.
