I dont like the Republican's stance on many things ranging from religion, war, minimum wage, and education, but what I do like, and the only reason why I would vote for McCain is immigration.
Democrats are not too keen for legalizing the millions of potential democrats, why? Who cares really. As long as Republicans plan to do so, I'll vote for them.

I've been a Democrat all my life, but on the issue of immigration I am seriously considering a change in allegiance. The day they grant amnesty to these criminals and their children will be a low point in my life. To see my country given away just so the Democrats can carry the latino vote just bothers me. I shall vote for the party with a staunch, unapologetic position on immigration, or a legit independent who I feel has the strength to stick to this position amidst accusations of racism.

There is a difference in nationalism and racism.

I think both political parties are a mess and really they only care about the rich, big business owners in this country, as well as the wealthy bankers. Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans really care about us...the citizens. Computer voting is all fixed anyway, so make sure you don't elect anyone on an electric ballot. Only vote for candidates that have signed affidavits stating that they are against One World Government.

Neither party is taking a major stance on the illegal invasion. But a few of the Republican candidates have spoken out on it. But if you want more social programs and higher taxes to pay for it...vote Democrat.

The bottom line is that the Republican party is the party whose raison d'etre is to protect the financial interests of big business PERIOD. EVERY policy they have actually enacted has been detrimental to middle class working America and has been wildly profitable, in the short run, for big business. The Republicans, in control of all three branches of government, presided over record high gas prices paid by you and me, and record profits raked in by oil companies, a war in Iraq that has made millions for companies like Halliburton (Cheney's old company) and cost American Tax Payers hundreds of millions. Bush's record on the environment is just now being exposed, in the coming weeks you will learn that Bush has attempted to silence scientists who warned that Republicans' easing of clean air, water, and other environmental standards will have horrible costs and consequences for the working Americans, while they allowed industry to make a few more million dollars by polluting with impunity.

The very sad thing is that even the big business leaders who are making millions because of republican legislation, have to breath the ozone filled air, eat the mercury filled fish, and pay higher insurance premiums to cover damage due to storms caused by global warming. So even the people who appear to be proffiting from republican policies right now, will be hurt by their short sightedness.

If what you say is true then I'll be voting Democrat.

But as far as I can tell, neither party is doing anything about illegal immigrants.

I don't like what Republicans or Democrats do. I think that they are all a bunch of crooks.
