if your suppose to love your enemy as you love your self, and the devil is your enemy, does that mean you should love the devil

Why would we hate the devil? He performs his role. He isn't that hard to avoid.

I've asked that before! Here's the thing: the devil is not only your enemy, but also God's enemy. And you should hate Satan b/c u hate should hate sin. Hope that helped!

From my studies, "love your enemy" refers to the people who persecute Christians. We are to look beyond the person and realize that they are being used by the devil; therefore loving that person anyway.

Don't forget the FIRST commandment when you quote the SECOND one.

It says that you must love GOD ABOVE ALL THINGS. "All things" include the Second Commandment.

And the love of God prohibits the love of evil.

no--it's "Love your neighbor as yourself", the devil is our enemy & he hates us. we are to love people, not demons
