Never heard that one before. In fact they are smart. Especially the attractive ladies that tend bar. They know if they look and dress hot, show some skin, they are walking out of there on an avg night with about $300 in tips. Pretty smart if you ask me.

As a bartender for over ten years, I have heard this quite a few times over the years. To make matters worse, I'm blonde. I took the ribbing, but gave it right back with a smile on my face. The drunker they got, the more expensive the drinks became. And on top of that, they tipped me for over charging them! Who's the stupid one? carry on honey. My bartending paid for a college education while I was raising four boys. Good luck to you!

Truth is.. the people who think that are stupid. Bartenders can make well over $500 in one night, some people don't make that much in a week. So, to people who think that, go ahead, because we will be stupid all the way to the bank!!

I don't think they are stupid at all, they make good money, have a great memory and they get to laugh at all of the stupid drunk people. Sounds like a great job to me.

I think quite the opposite. I have a lot of respect for a person who can concentrate and do their job in such a loud and hyper environment. Bottoms up!

I don't.... I always assume they're brain surgeons or rocket scientists and the bar tending is their part-time gig.

Some of the most patient, understanding and humorous people have been bartenders, so I don't know...stereotyping, I guess.
