they took out his entire stomach, part of esophogus and part of large intestine. He came home, and got relatively better although he is very thin. Then, he started to drink very heavily. How does alcohol go through his body without his stomach? He gets very drunk, that means alcohol is getting into his blood stream. Also, his cancer indicator is very high again, but they can't find any tumor, how long does he have? The doctor does not tell us exactly how long his has.

Your father is self medicating with alcohol, and that is very sad. He will probably die from liver failure. While he may not have a stomach, if he is able to swallow, what he swallows goes somewhere, and alcohol is easily absorbed into the blood stream thru any of the body's tissues. The doctor can't tell you how long your father has to live, because he doesn't know. No doctor has a crystal ball, but your father will die more quickly if he continues to drink. You have my empathy.

It is hard to say. It depends on many factors. First he needs to stop drinking. He will not last if his liver goes. Talk to the doctors and ask them that question. They have to give you an estimate.

I don't know how long he has either, but you could suggest that he start taking emu oil ,it kills cancer cells. One should talk to their doctor before trying any thing new.
