It doesn't matter how often I wash my hair or what I do to it... relative to how low it takes the back to feel gunky, the front feels gross much faster. I don't put any products in it or anything.

Anyone know why this happens? Is it just me?

I am sure it is NOT only you. Everyone who has a challenge with oily hair will get more oily in the front closer to the face. Our faces get oily first also, so it would make the front of our hair to get gunky faster. Many of us also sweat more on our foreheads and that would contribute to our hair being oily in the front. Also may times if you are a person who can not keep you hands out of your hair, that would also contribute to the excess oily in the front. So if you always are flipping your hair out of your face or if you run your hands through your hair, that could be a key factor also.

There are a couple of reasons for that. If your hairstyle is a bit shorter in the front, the oils from your scalp just cover the strand faster. Also, we tend to touch the front of our hair more frequently than the back and our hands our very dirty...even if we wash them a lot.

you touch the front of your hair more often, either to get it out of your face or even when you are brushing it, the oils on your hand get in your hair and make it more greasy, you don't really touch the back of your head and the hair there....

Check your shampoo and conditioner, sometimes they can make your hair look and feel greasy. If you have bangs and oily skin usually that makes hair greasy too.
