I can't seem to find anything I like. My husband is Choctaw Indian and I would like something affiliated with that, but also something meaningful, like for the two of us. Any suggestions?

I lived in Okla for a while (7 yrs) but I'm from a different nation, so I have a great appreciation for Choctaw art and symbolism. I thought I might share how I made some of my tat choices with you. Maybe it will get your creative juices flowing and help you decide!
So,I struggled with the same thing, what to do? what to do?Ends up that I had the design from a basket that my great aunt made as one of my first tats. I also considered some pottery designs and our flag. Other things to consider.. things that remind you of something important like a story or something that gives you strength or understanding. I also combined a symbol from my mother's heritage as well.. so maybe you can combine your own personal heritage along with your husband's and come up with a unique custom tat that will be your own! Blessings- dd

How about a medicine wheel or the Great Seal of the Choctaw Indian?

So your husbands Choctaw? What does that have to do with *your* heritage? The tatoo is on *you*, therefore it should represent who *you* are, not who you are married to or it's just a brand of sorts.
I say go the awesome tribal tattoo route on your lower back.
Butterflies are so overdone. If you want something like that why not try a dragonfly or hummingbird (chuparosa) instead, whose wings are spread out across your lower back with both his and your name or something. But, I still vote for the tribal. They look very nice on the lower back and can be done to encompasse both your names etc as well.

Not to be a downer but what if the two of you don't stay together forever? than every time you look at the tattoo in the merrier you'll think of him. get a tattoo to symbolize you not anyone else, that way you will always know you are an independent woman!

Go to a tattoo artist that can create one for you. This way no one else with have the same tattoo and it has a lot more meaning.

i like the reversal spiral design sometimes called coiled snake design. it is very symbolical, very traditional and a nice design for your lower back as it is symmetrical.

also, an ancient design that is not used very often is the ball design which is different.....but the reversal spiral (coiled snake) is very fluid and a beautiful simple design.

here is a link where you can see the design...

umm idk but dont get it on ur lower back if you plan on having kids cause they wont be able to put that little shot thing to numb you so you will be in more pain. so try a different spot.
