I have two children...a 12 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. That is completely your choice!! It is better that you know you don't want another child than to have one and not be happy about it. If you are feeling pressure from someone else, ignore them! They are not the ones that will be responsible for raising the child!
Having one child, in my opinion, is perfectly fine...your child will not be harmed by not having any siblings!!

I don't really understand the reason for the question, but... I have 1 right now...I had a very difficult labor & delivery plus a few scares during the pregnancy itself; so it was mandatory I wait at least a year before getting pregnant again. My son is 3.5 years old...And for a while I thought that he might be the only one. Everything was not how I had planned & my fears of repeating the whole process over again just didn't seem like a good/fun idea. But as more & more of my friends have begun having children I am reminded of the joy that a new baby brings. After much debate within myself, we are hoping to conceive again in late spring or early summer.
I am only 25 years old, and having had a c-section with my first, that means I have extra planning to do for a second. My hospital has banned VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) & I know that I do NOT want another c-section...(there are so many risks involved with c-sections! Something I learned later after having a cesarean!)
I guess the biggest fear is that if I have another c-section this next one could be my last. And at 25 I am just not ready to throw in my reproductive towel. I would love a whole house full, my husband too. But realistically we may only have 1 or 2 more. If I can find a VBAC supportive hospital and successfully have a VBAC, then I can have as many kids as I can physically have without having to have a cesarean or any complications from the cesarean surgery. The sky’s the limit at the point, we would love to be blessed with as many blessings as God gives us, even if that is only 1 more or no more!
My husband has a ton of cousins, but only 1 brother, I have no full siblings I have a 1/2 brother who is 10 years older than me & a step sister, but our relationship is very strained! So I think we find the thought a big family fun & exciting, because there is always something going on.
I don't think that there is a magic number that woks for everyone. If one is enough, that's cool. If you want 10, great! (But you should be able to care for them yourselves with out public assistance.) My brother doesn't want kids, I respect his choice, but I don't really understand it. That's fine.
Again there is no magic number!

I have three a 12 year old girl a 10 year old boy and a 5 year old son and I want at least one more hopefully a girl. I am a great parent and was born to have andraise amazing children.
Some people are born to do this some aren't But just so you know I have had many friends who were only children and wow they were pretty messed up I would keep your child very socially active if you are just gonna have one!

I have zero children and I plan on keeping it that way. I'm not a child type of person so I'd rather find someone who shares my feelings and would rather devote our lives to each other (and maybe a dog or two....)
And yes, I've always been told that I'll change my mind... that just makes me more adamant towards my point!

I've got 4 ages, 11, 9, 6, and 2 and we're trying for #5 right now. THEN i'll get fixed. There are no religious reasons for this, we just love our kids and would like to have one more.

We have 3 boys. We want at least one more..just not right now until our finances are in better shape. We want to get a bigger house, as this one is only a 3 bedroom and we need at least one more vehicle that is bigger, as both our cars only seat 5.
