¨As penguins do not need to escape predators on land, they have given up their ability to fly through the air for more maneuverability and speed as they travel through the ocean¨
¨Penguins belong to a group called Sphenisciformes, in which all species are flightless and aquatic. ¨

Penguin can't fly they have didnt have the wing span or the right weight for flying. They can swim in water and dive under looking for fish to eat through.

Depends on how you define "fly". They do fly underwater but are too heavy to fly in air. Water, a liquid, and air, a gas, both have fluid properties.
The only way that 'quins are like dolphins is 1) they are both animals, although in different "kingdoms" mammal vs. bird, and 2) Both came from "land" and adapted to live in the water.

No, they cannot fly but are excellent swimmers. Where they come from there is only ice etc so really have no use for wings, but they do use their short stubby wings to help jump up or down from icebergs and also use them underwater as a sort of rudder.

No the poor things cannot, do you think they would stay in such a cold environment if they could fly away from it ? Their wings are not the right shape for them to fly and even if they were their body weight is too heavy for them to take off and maintain flight.

No they dont have wings they have flippers for swimming.
The only time they appear to fly is when a shark flips them into the air and whacks them with its tail!

They can't. But they can "Fly" underwater, and that's about it.
Due to their short wingspan and and many feathers, which weigh a LOT.
Was this a trick question or something...? lol.

No! It's not posserble because of the dynamics of it's body.
I dont quite know the ins and outs, you would have to watch a nature program about them to find out why they cant in detail.
