The worst thing you can try to do is "impress" a girl. The harder you try to impress her, the more you will look like a moron and end up embarrassing yourself. Everyone will see what you are trying to do.
Your best bet to get her to notice you is to do well at something. If you are on the hoops team and you know she will be there, really concentrate on the game and playing well. Just don't do it for her, if you do that you will try and look cool and will miss shots and your head won't be in it. That's an example.
I say just get over the nervousness and talk to her. Smile and aknowledge her when you see her around.
Sports are a good one though.

NEVER I mean NEVER use a line. We see right through them. Just be yourself and relax. If you want to do something nice to get her attention get her a nice little card or take her somewhere nice for dinner. We tend to notice the ones that are more relaxed and not afraid to be themselves than the obnoxious line spittin joe cool dude. Some girls like sports. Just ask her.

i love sports but not every girl does. the right girl will like you for who you are and not someone else. just be your self. dont try and impress her just be you. im sure your personality is beautiful.

You want to know what girls like?
Honesty, loyalty, and love.
They're the rarest things you can find in a guy.
However, if you're talking about actual THINGS, it depends. We usually like to shop, but if you're trying to impress a certain someone, perhaps you should get to know her hobbies.

all depends on the girl to be honest some like bad boys some like good boys some like respectful and sweet some like a$$holes and playas some like money and clothes some like the pretty boy look clean cut and smell good some like nice cars and confident guys

Be intelligent... dont act like an ***... make yourself seem different from all the other guys... respect her... give her compliments... not about her rack or butt....
just be a gentlemen... it can get you a lot farther than acting all macho

sports, a genuine guy and sincere, roses, dinnerz, coffee, NOT a guy who is like all over her, and a guy to calls her just to say he wuz thinking about her or "ur beautiful"

girls like sweet romantic stuff...so just let her know that you can be a helpless romantic...like just write her little short sweet notes and let her know how you feel about her and put them somewhere she will find them...don't just flat out give it to her...so yeah! Girls also like to be bought things...oh, and just walk her to class...oh, i personally love it when a guy burns me cds of my favorite music...they don't have to buy it...just burn it...so, yeah...hope that helps some :)
