I'm sorry to tell you this, but trimming off the split ends is the only answer. Once the hair is damaged enough to split there is no going back. There are products that can make you hair look better when you have split ends, but when you wash it again they come back and get worse and worse. The hair is a fabric, it will wear out like any other fabric. Get a good trim and then use some better products to keep the splits gone a little longer. We should get our hair cut about every 6 to 8 weeks just to avoid the splitting and to minimize how much we have to have trimmed off each time. If you go too long we as hair stylists need to take off a larger amount to make your hair look healthy again.

Split ends can only be fixed by trimming them. If you dont cut them off they get worse.

To prevent them, in my opinion, when you use conditioner make sure and really apply it to the tips of your hair. It keeps your hair more moisturized.

i dont think you can do anything besides get a trim. cause when i had split ends, the more my hair grew, the worst it got...so then i finally got my hair cut/trimmed. :)

Get yoru hair trimmed! That is the best way to get rid of them!

you can get your hair trimmed or buy the split-ender thingy at walgreens. i don't think that works though. never tried it

cut it off, then go for regular saloon visits.
