Whenever I do an internet search for vacations for kids Disneyland and Disney are about all i get. We have kids between the ages of 6 and 16. Is there someplace we can all go and just have a total vacation blast experience?

I have to say some of the best times me and my kids had was when we went to some museums. We visited the Five Tribes museum in Okla. We went to St.Louis, the zoo, which is free by the way, The Magic House, and the Arch. And of course we had to eat on the McDonald's that is a river boat down by the river. Believe it or not if you get hold of your states web site you might be surprised what is in your area. One other option, we love camping on the lake, where boating, fishing, and swimming is always available.

i went to disneyland and seaworld on one vacation. i actually enjoyed seaworld better. it is so much fun, they have 3 diff. types of shows that include animals and sitting in the wet area is fun. they constantly have open visits where trainers come to the dolphin cove or some other places too and have them do tricks, i stood near one and actually got splashed by one. they also have mascots come out and have an imax theater which is neat. they also have a cirque du soliel performance and the shops are neat.

How about centre parks? They are quite fun and not too expensive. The coast is quite good (if you are going away in the summer). Or the countryside/mountains - if they like hikes/exploration.

When I was younger, we did all sorts. Kids will be happy with anything as long as it is interesting and they can be active.
