1. everyone is capable of having a bad attitude, reaction, action etc
2. No one is perfect. You find someone perfect. I'd like to meet him.
3. Everyone does make mistakes. I've made a whole heck of alot of them
4. When the majority of news is bad news, I can agree that this is a sinful world
5 Eve changed humans into what we are, if not her then i'm sure someone else down the road would have
6. Look at the '50s to now. How better have they gotten? They say it would take 50+ years to get back to that level of humanity
7 Jesus did pay the price for sins, but that's not the green light to go and do whatever the heck one feels like
8 As apposed to?! monkeys (sorry couldn't resist)
9. Bad things do happen. People cause them to happen, environment causes them to happen, but I believe that God can turn that bad thing into something beautiful.
10. God promised to never destroy the earth again, so we are stuck with disobedient, 'detestable' people.

With all this said, these phrases are not used to "justify their evil actions that they often purposely do."
I have never done anything evil, anyone who does is not Christian.

well i know that if you are a true christian ,you place a lot of value on life,on the people around you, on family, because that is where Gods values are as well.. i know some Christians do cop out with excuses but that doesn't make it right .but i don't think if we were all honest about our lives that anyone of us could say today i did no wrong .and it maybe a wrong as little as not taking the time to hug a child that needed hugged , or cutting a corner in a job ..or parking in a Handy cap zone because we will only be a couple min..but i do know as we walk a closer walk each day with a heavenly father our conscience grows stronger and convicts us of even the little sins we use to over look..but i can see where u come from when u say what you say because there are many people who claim to be christian ,but live like the devil himself..its a sad thing really because it drives people away from Christianity..i hope that your view towards Christians change , i hope someday that a true christian befriends you and lives the life they should as an example of true Christianity ..

It is the world that invented evil, not God and certainly not Christians. Any true Christian knows that sin cannot be justified, only forgiven. Our standards of conduct come straight from the Bible and even unbelievers can see they are good and pure.

So is that to say the world has a just equittable defense for sin? What is their excuse? I here the word "SO" and "WHO CARES" more out of the mouths of atheists. At least believers care and are forgiven! How bout you?

Why do (some) atheists have such a low standard of behavior? They come here and attack those of us who are Christians and have never done anything to them. Then they turn around and point a finger at us, calling us f'ing retards and saying that we behave so badly!

Talk about double standards and intolerance!

Honey, if questions like this are your idea of high moral ground, then you need to take a serious look at your own mental health. The way you act on this forum, I'd say that you're the Black Atheist pot calling the Christian kettle black.

I hope no Christian uses any of these as excuses. In fact, Jesus taught us that while it is true that nobody is perfect, we need to be working towards perfection. Jesus said, "Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father who is in Heaven is perfect." (Matt 5:48) To me that sounds like a commandment to work towards perfection.

As for #6, I hope nobody uses that as an excuse. Although it is reality, it should never be an excuse. We always need to do whatever we can to make our own corners of the world better for everyone.

We're all human and because of sin we are born to be bad. We know this and accept it. Jesus was the only perfect human /God that actually lived here and had all the temptations throw at him yet didn't sin..that's why we need his covering for our sins.

I suppose your standard is higher ... how do YOU justify the things you do that are wrong?

"There is no God, so I can do what I want"
"There is no evil, so there can be no good, it's all relative"
"Everyone else is doing it"
"It's just a societal thing"

Still sounds like an excuse to me, no matter who says it.

The thing is, Christians don't "justify" their sin, they KNOW it's sin.

How can someone who claims to not want to know anything about God (aetheist), turn around and use God's standards (i.e. your "low standard of behavior" comment). If you don't care to know about God, then why measure His own people with His standards? Sounds like someone is on the verge of being a believer........Read Romans 9:10-11. Love you.

People who say stuff like this also seem to have really high standards for everyone else to live up to - but don't expect the same for themselves. Christians say this stuff to justify it when someone they've condemned points out that the Christian has done something the condemned has also done. These excuses are used as if they excuse the Christian from doing condemnable things - but no one else. Then Christians complain that others hold them up to these high standards. Well - they're the ones running around telling everyone how holy they are and how damnable the rest of us are. So of course we're going to point out (and rub their nose in it) when they do things they're condemning others for. So they say stuff like this to justify their behavior.

By your post I'm going to assume you've met every Christian on the earth and they all share these same traits. Are all atheists this ignorant and judgemental or are you just that special?

If you ever get tired of all the hate and anger inside you should talk to a Christian, they know the answer. Peace :-)
