i also have long frizzy hair and very thick.. i use a flat iron after i blow dry.. or maybe try friz-ezz.... that works....

You should get it cut into a layered look, which will make it look thinner and it'll make it easier to handle.
You should also use a very accurate conditioner to soften and unfrizz your hair. Sunsilk De-Frizz shampoo and conditioner set would go great for you.
Also, what you can do is use a good hair iron to straighten up your hair. A good iron brand is Corioliss. Might be a bit expensive, but it's worth it.
