Controversial, illuminating, visionary and historical, this collection of 66 books is divided into two sections. The 'Old Testament' begins with the creation of the world and the introduction of sin and rebellion at the hands of Satan, an angelic being who sets himself up in opposition to the Creator God. It then goes on to record the history of the nation of Israel, God's people, up to 400 B.C. From the first book of the Bible, God's plan to save mankind from sin and death is revealed, and throughout the Old Testament, the coming of a messiah is prophesied. In the 'New Testament' this messiah turns out to be Jesus of Nazareth, a humble carpenter born 2000 years ago, who claimed to be the Son of God. During the last three years of his life, he performed numerous miracles and condemned the corruption and hypocrisy of the religious leaders of the day. Although he was scorned, ridiculed and put to death at the hands of the Roman government, his followers testified that he was resurrected and ascended to heaven. Persecuted and hated, his followers dispersed but formed a new religion, Christianity, which flourishes to this day. The final book, Revelation, points forward in time to the climactic destruction of Satan, God's arch-enemy, and the triumph of good over evil, when Christ, the risen Jesus, is given power and authority to rule over a new heaven and a new earth. Without doubt, the best book I have ever read. Not only is it the most widely published book on the planet, many of the characters and events have been made into blockbuster movies - Exodus, Ben Hur and Jesus of Nazareth, to name but a few. To this day, controversy rages and passions are aroused over the claims and counter-claims made by protagonists and antagonists of the Bible. One thing is certain - the final chapter is, as yet, unwritten. Watch this space!

The previous testomony and the Torah can't ever be fulfilled without the arriving of the Messiah and the recent Covenant. people who shop the Torah completely yet yet deny Jesus the Messiah; it incredibly is as though they don't shop the Torah. people who have faith in Jesus and the recent Covenant they shop the completed holy scriptures better than everybody else. edit: banana! Very presumptuous of you to let us know Christians a thank you to verify the Bible. so which you say that nullified = fulfilled? Care to back that up with a dictionary? What you fail to comprehend is what i've got merely suggested. Do you think of Jews fulfil the previous testomony scriptures? as long as they deny Jesus the Messiah then they're far from friendly the previous testomony scriptures. The previous testomony scriptures can't be fulfilled except you settle for Jesus and include the recent testomony that have been the two spoken of in the previous testomony scriptures. hence it incredibly is people who include those that fairly obey the scriptures. everybody else is disobedient unto the scriptures. Matthew 5:17 think of not that i'm come to break the regulation, or the prophets: i'm not come to break, yet to fulfil. John 5:39 seek the scriptures; for in them ye think of ye have eternal existence: and that they are they which testify of me. So how do you think of Jesus fulfils the regulation and the prophets? by His coming and His artwork He does so through fact those suggested Him and His artwork. everybody who claims to obey the previous testomony scriptures yet does not include the recent testomony is in blunders.

Attention grabbing opening but slow to develop. The main character is often lost in the moralistic undertones but an interesting use of metaphors. The ending is predictable and bombastic with a heavy use of melodrama. Ignore at your peril but don't take it seriously.

Travel with your buddy jesus as he gathers together a small cult of followers and breaks laws until he is arrested, given a fair trial and hung (on a cross). Marvel as his followers run like a thief in the night, make up resurrection stories hundreds of years after the alleged event.
