This morning. In the traditional Scottish style with milk and salt. None of this honey and sugar nonsense! Ugh!

I am a big fan of steel cut oats. A very different texture than even the slow cooking oats. Most people are so used to the very pablum-like quick oats and have neve tried anything else. You don't need to buy the expensive version in a can, Steel cut oats are sold in bulk in many grocery and health food stores.......At LEAST try the slow cooked flaked oats rather than instant..quite a treat if you like oats.

Yesterday morning as porridge oats are the cheapest food, calorie for pence, that you can get in UK

This morning - for breakky. Soaked real oats overnight (not instant ones) then zapped them in the morning in the microwave. With a little bit of brown sugar and skim milk - yummo.

This morning. I had breakfast with a very dear friend of mine, and she has her porridge every day. She also gave me strawberries and raspberries and freshly squeezed orange juice... and then made me laugh and dazzled me with her wit and beauty.... if she wasn't my best friend, she would be my wife.

Yesterday morning for breakfast. I prefer it made with milk and water and a little sugar rather than salt. Delicious and highly nutritious!

Very messy when given to small children though.
