There is this guy that i like at school that I want to ask out really bad. I am too scared to go up to him and just say
WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME?
That probably won't do anything but scare him off. I have never dated anybody before and everytime I ask somebody I get turned down.
On occasion, I may see him in the hall. My friend told me that he told her that he thinks I'm pretty. I don't know what to do here. I can't just let this one slide b/c next year when he goes to a different high school than me I won't see him ever again.
I just don't know what to do.

ask him and just be yourself. guys don't like it when you go crazy trying to impress him. i'm sure that he'll like you for who you are.

First, try to flirt with him, and then hang around him often. Get him to like you first, so that he might ask you out before you do. But don't act desperate. And remember, dress nce around this guy. I am having the same problem except with a girl but i think the thing to do is just find a good time and go for it. for example when hes alone or something like that

start with small talk- ask him what's playing in his ipod or where he's going this weekend....
In a few weeks you can slip in "my friends and I are going to _____. If you're not busy, you could join us. That oughta give you an idea of how interested he is.
And if he isn't, move on so someone else can get to know your goddess qualities!

Tell your friend that you think he is quit too..He may be as scared as you are.....Or just go up to him and asked if there would be a chance he would go out with you..........Have a good day....Mel....

ask him the worst he can is say no but if he likes you (and if he told your friend he thinks your pretty he probably does) then he will hopefully say yes

I suggest that you write him a note telling him how you feel and let your friend that he has told her that u are pretty pass it to him. it is worth a try so good luck
