For all you Gordon bashers.. %@$& You! Im getting tired of hearing all the BS.. So I got to wondering.. If it wasnt Gordon, Who would be the one theyd all bash?!?!?!

They would just bash Jimmie Johnson more. They always have to bash the driver that wins the most!

The obvious answer would be my boy Jimmie, your 2007 Nextel Cup Champ baby! Johson gets hated because he is a team member of and driver for Jeff Gordon. I certainly don't think you can say he's overrated, his worst finish for the Cup is 5th, but I think people consider any driver for Hendrick Motorsports to have it made. I really don't know how anyone can say that 4 championships constitutes being overrated either, as in Gordon's case. This won't be the popular answer but I truly believe that Dale Jr. is the most spoiled and is a somewhat overrated driver, although there are more overrated than him. He is spoiled in that when he didn't like how things were going with his cousin he took it upon himself to change up DEI's race teams and chemistry. That should not have been his call. Then he switched back because he can pretty much do what he wants to. As far as overrated, I think Ryan Newman is pretty overrated. He's a popular guy and people think he is a great driver because he can go so fast, at times. However, when it comes to big picture racing and making it to the finish line he sucks. He's had the advantages of great teammates, owners and resources but yet can't put it all together for a whole season. His bursts of brialliance show his potential but in the end he is a chronic choker. (the opinions expressed by this poster are not necessarily those of the majority but sometimes the truth hurts)

If Gordon is not racing there would not be anybody to bash that would be equal to him.
He is hated by many and respected by few... You can respect a driver and still hate him, that's what so many forget... Like Jr, I hate Jr but I respect him... The only guy I cannot respect is Tony, just because hes a real jerk for the rules he makes up, and his comments always putting the blame on someone... who died and made him king of the road??? So here are a few names below of people who might get bashed more, but not as much as Jeff gets bashed... and the reasons behind it are a simple... follow along...
Stewart- 29 total wins, two championships...
Martin- 35 total wins, no championships... but who could hate him
Johnson- 23 wins, 1 championship
T. Labonte- 22 wins, 2 championships
B. Labonte- 21 wins, 1 championship
Burton- 18 wins, no championship
Kurt Busch- 15 wins, 1 championship
Kenseth- 14 wins, 1 championship
Newman- 12 wins, no championships
Biffle- 11 wins, no championships
Harvick- 10 wins, no championships
Kahne- 7 wins, no championships
Edwards- 4 wins, no championships
AND THEN
Jeff Gordon- 75 wins (one away from Earnhardt Sr. with 76) and he also has 4 championships...
If you ask me I think those wins and championships make people hate him so much... face it he is successful and people like to go against him...
Jimmy Johnson might also be the obvious answer if Jeff was not racing, but lets remember Jeff and Jimmy are teammates... Without Jeff, I really believe there is not as much hate for jimmy as there is today. So its really hard to say who we be called "over-rated" but honestly (jr fans are not going to like this) If jeff is not racing I think Jr catches more of the wrap for being over-rated...

Ya know it's not like Gordon shouldn't expect to get bashed...he whines about everything...it gets ANNOYING! Now don't get me wrong...there are other drivers out there that are way too over rated such as Dale Jr. If Gordon wasn't in NASCAR it would be more on Jimmie Johnson and Dale Jr. Oh yeah...my opinion Jr. is only so popular now because of his dad...if it wasn't for Sr., Dale Jr. wouldn't be half of what he is today...

ummm lets see ......NO..........i do not think that NASCAR driver's are spoiled, like everyone they need help with everything going on, heck I my self forget about the time change, so if you ask me I say they are as human as you and I. plus...... I am sure there is a person on the team responsible for making sure that driver is on track side on time so I say it is that guys fault but like everyone else they are human after all everyone makes mistakes p.s. just because you make millions does not mean you are spoiled! those drivers give a lot back to the communities. money does not matter in this question if you ask me we all forget about time change sooner ot later!

I really doubt it would be Jimmy Johnson. He would not be in Cup if there was no Jeff Gordon. Gordon gave Johnson his break.

Jimmie Johnson-he's almost a Gordon clone. He's whiny and nothing is ever,ever his fault-not accidents or illegal parts. I hope he runs a legal car at Daytona this year! I figure Hendrick can only grease so many palms.

They'd go for Johnson just because Johnson is what they would call "a pretty boy". But or all us Gordon and/or Johnson fans, we don't let it get to us because we know just how good Gordon and/or Johnson really are.
