I want to eat healthy and I believe George Foreman is the place to start.

Yes, it's a healthy way to cook. My advice is to get one with removable plates. The only thing I don't like about mine is that it's a bit hard to clean, and I wish that mine had removable plates like the newer ones do!

P.S. To all those who also have trouble cleaning theirs, put wet paper towels in your grill a few minutes after turning it off, close it, and leave it overnight. You'll be able to wipe it clean the next day with no sticky stuff.

I would find one of those dollar store and look in there. I know everyone has one, but never uses them (Well, some people do) But, every time I go to the Dollar store or a discount store I always see them. I wish someone would just give me one. I refuse to buy one. because I look at it this way, if your going to grill it grill it the right way. They say that that grill traps all the grease? OK, when you put a burger on the grill with flames? Where does the grease go? It goes into the fire and becomes fuel? What is better then fuel that smells and tastes like a BIG FAT TASTY BURGER... OK I have to go to lunch now....

If you get one, get the type that has the removable grill plates. I have one, and in the 2 years I've owned it, I've probably only used it 3 or 4 times - just because it's so hard to clean up.

I'd rather stand out on my deck in the middle of a blizzard than clean the George.

My parents owned one and my mom got my husband and I one when we got married. I never use it-mainly b/c i forget i have it. My husband enjoys cooking and he hates the George Foreman. I would recommend it if you live alone-only b/c its easy. It's great for making chicken strips and not so thick burgers. I am not crazy about the clean up, but i think they have upgraded the models to wear you can remove the cooking gridle from the base. Otherwise, clean up is not so fun. Good Luck!

I had one for several years and used it quite a bit, and even though it's teflon, I found it to be a pain in the fanny to clean. I think a good teflon frying pan and different pam type sprays (olive oil, italian flavored, butter flavored, etc....) work better for me, and you can soak the pan in the sink, whereas the Foreman grill cannot be submerged in water.

Yes. It's awesome! I am lazy so it saves time and makes burgers taste a million times better ! It could be that I can't operate a grill very well, too, though...

Another plus is, that when you accidentally drop things on it, the object doesn't burst into flame. Well, I found that to be a plus anyways.

Yes! I love mine and use it all the time - so much that I've had to replace it, but that was after 6 years so don't be scared that they don't last that long. There are so many things you can make on it. One thing I really like about it is that you don't have to have your meat thawed before cooking it. I throw frozen chicken, pork, fish and beef on there and it doesn't take nearly as long to cook as to having to wait for the thawing process and then cooking.

I absolutely love mine! My son made a gift of it to me when they were first introduced. I'm not a gadget person so I thought it wasn't worth the money. Now I'm ready to buy a larger one to prepare meat for a large group at one time. Not only do you eliminate a lot of fat, you cook the meat twice as fast since the heat is directly above and below.

definitely. I grill skinless chicken breast quickly and easily. They are very healthy grilled and have a good souce of protein that you need to be healthy. You can do so many other thigns with it, but I mostly just use it for that.
