Why don't you visit your local human society? They probably have just the right pooch! The price will definitely be right AND you can take him or her for a "test drive"...

If you want a cheap dop I would suggest getting one from a shelter. As for the health problems, the best chance you have is getting a mix, they don't have the kind of health problems that purebreds do. The quiet part, you can learn how to train your dog to be quiet.
Try this, it's a breed selector quiz.

Good luck, and I hope you find a loving companion.

You realize once you get a 'fluffy' dog, you need to have them groomed every 6-8 weeks. I would suggest a short haired dog, maybe a Jack Russel or a Chihuahua. Also some type of mixed short haired breed, less health problems. But all dogs cost money, no matter what breed

NEED??? well if you desire a dog, and understand fully , the committment required to own a dog i would suggest you go to akc.org,,, click on the "toy breed" tab and read all about the different breeds... once you decide, then click on breeder referral and start researching reputable breeders in your area.. good luck... it will be a fun journey.... as for CHEAP/NO HEALTH ISSUES that won't work.... just concentrate on a reputable breeder..

there are no dogs without any health problems and if you're looking for cheap, you're not looking for a dog. Sounds like you're looking for the perfect animal without any work or money. It doesn't happen that way. Save yourself some money and heartburn and buy a stuffed animal and pretend it's alive. You'll never have a vet bill and you won't have any barking.

A stuffed animal. You are asking too much in a small dog, and just dogs in general.

Go to your local animal shelter and get a cute sweet little dog that needs a home there.

I agree with those who said stuffed animal. Your expectations of a dog are unreal.
