So we all realize that a day for God could easily be millenia, as there was no sun or earth to completely rotate every 24 hours dictating the length of a day during Creation. So, God's 7th day could be quite long.

Beyond that, perhaps God rested and has just let us keep on with our little world as he continues to rest. Perhaps that is why he doesn't seem to be active. He just wanted to make sure we all use the 7th day in our reckoning to rest, too. So, it's still the 7th day for God.

What do you think?

You are completely wrong.

Genesis 1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Nope.
After Day 7, God interacted with mankind, in the form of helping Moses get the Israelites out of Egypt. This was not a "resting day" task!

My suspicion is that God is still unhappy with us for the way we treated his son. :(

Read this and you'll see how the days can't be longer than 24 hours. remember, even though there was no sun on days 1, 2, and 3, God can do anything! so no, we're in real life now, it has nothing to do with the seventh day. sorry!

If you built a house and finished it, would things in your home be done. No of course not. You would then raise a family in it. Watch them grow up. Maybe invite some friends over for dinner from time to time over the years....

Actually, those were literal 24 hours, because if you look later in exodus 20, God says:

8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Because, it's impossible that we are still in the "7th day"

No, because he had interacted with people and destroyed cities, he even caused a flood to nearly put every species into extinction.. I would consider that work not rest.

GOD IS ON HIS THRON AND STILL ACTIVE RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND. THE WORLD, SINCE THE FALL OF ADAM HAS BEEN CURSED. IF GOD WAS NOT ACTIVE THINGS WOULD BE A LOT WORSE THAN WHAT THEY ARE. JUST OPEN YOUR EYES AND YOU CAN SEE GOD ALL AROUND YOU. HE IS THERE FOR YOU IF YOU WILL JUST CALL ON HIS NAME.

He is not held to our linearity and is timeless - irrespective of the presence or absence of the sun or earth.

I think he's still on vacation in Alph Centauri. I'm hoping he'll bring me back a t-shirt.
