thats because as long as the labs go by the old "normal value" chart, many of us will keep having all the symptoms but untreated.

the endocrine society has long since changed what they perceive as normal values...shame the labs and doctors wont adjust their belief's.

Chances are your doctor may be doing only one type of thyroid test, going by old lab values, or testing you at the wrong time. Get a morning only TSH, Free T4, Free T3, and an antibody test. One of these should show something if you have a thyroid problem. Once you get these tests done, get copies of the results and compare them to what many thyroid websites say. Sometimes these sites have info the doctor is unaware of. Below are a few sites

same thing happened to me... i was worried for a while.. but i dont have the symptoms of hyper or hypothyroid so i guess im fine. if you're really worried just go back to the doctor.
