Question for auto accident adjusters .... settlement question.?
My wife and myself had an accident a few months ago and we are now finished with treatment. We both recieved whiplash , neck pain , and lower back pain. We both still have some days, where our necks feel tight and some lower back pain. --- I wanted to know what my case is worth. Here are some of the details.. The car was hit from behind causing $ 6,500 worth of damage to the car and the ins. has already paid for that. The EMT's did come to the accident and transported my wife to the ER. Both of us went to the doctors office a few times and each had a few X-ray's and I had a CT scan. My wife also had a few weeks of physical therapy. Medical bills total $ 4,106.00 and lose wages $ 838.00. I have been told that you are able to get 2 times your medical bills and time lost. Is this right ? Please give me the best answer you can and tell me what you might settle the case for. Thanks

i would think you could get a lot more than that for pain/suffering. i'm sure you know, but don't settle the case too early until your injuries have healed.
you could get a lawyer and give him 33%.

frist im sorry about your loss
my wife got into a car accident back in Oct of 2006
and they are paying all her Medical bills and 85% of her lost pay
only did $2000 worth of damage to the car but she has been off work from oct and still off now. if i was you guys try for about 10 to 15K

I would settle between $6500-$8000.
There is no such "law," as people assume, were you automatically receive 2 or 3 times the meds.
