Sometimes its a blanket thing, they are known to be blanket hogs but usually its because they have no TVs and they dont like reading.

Because it becomes a fight for survival. Food is scarce and they're cold just like the rest of us. They fight out of frustration and wanting/needing more food.

Their instincts kick in during winter for competition of food even if there is plenty. Have a great year.

Simple survival of the fittest...they are collecting food to survive...they fight over food and a safe place to live, wouldn't you?
