Okay, I have been dating my boyfriend for over 3 yrs. We both have access to each other bank accounts (to look, not to spend). I just looked at his account online, and he just spent $122 on something and another $63 on something else. When I asked he got really defensive and said he loaned his friend some money. That would've worked, but they work together (I work with them too) and everyone just got paid.
For some reason I have a feeling he is hiding something from me. What would you do if you were in this situation?
SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!

He has lied before, actually quite a bit. But they have always been the "little white lies".

Wow, that's a toughy...but I think that I would ask him why he got so defensive, and I would let him know that he can tell me anything, and ask him why someone who just got paid would need to borrow money.

You need to relax before you end up without a man. If he's trusting you enough to let you even look into his account why are you getting upset and drawing conclusions for? Just because you just got paid doesn't mean his friend didn't have a need for the money. How are you going to feel if he used the money to get you something nice? Ask yourself if he's ever lied to you before and you'll be able to answer your own questions and self doubt.

Well you are right hes probably Lying, but hes being defensive because he knows you will get upset. Do you worry about the Finances, is he not footing his share of the bills? Maybe he found something he wanted on Ebay. I shop online alot, but I always make sure all of our bills are paid, and we have money in Savings. My Fiancee really does not want to handle the money, he would rather I do it and I am very conservative. Talk to your boyfriend and explain your concerns. Don't make him feel like he has to hide things from you but at the same time explain to him the importance of not wasting money.

I think he's lying and I'll tell you why.
People give out loans in rounded out numbers such as $120 or $125, like that. Not $122 or $63.
$60 or $65 would sound more believable.
I can't even guess as to what he used those amounts for. It doesn't sound like drugs because those are rounded out numbers too.
I would watch him if you think you can't trust him.
If you are not suspicous of him cheating on you, I wouldn't worry about it.

Last time he can check its his money and if your just looking then that all you should be doing. And not questioning. Why dont the both of you get a joint account therefore you have every right to question about where the money is going. Money is the route of all eviel in relationship. The looking into each other account is going to mess up your relationship JUST WATCH AND SEE!

Why is it so important what he spent the money on? Does he monitor every dollar you spend?
Maybe it's a gift for you...maybe it was something frivolous and he doesn't want to tell you. I wouldn't make a big deal about it if you trust him and love him.

What does just getting paid have to do with a friend who had an emergency and needed a loan? You trust this guy or you don't.

You don't loan your friends that "odd amount of money" He is lying but maybe, just maybe he wants to surprise you or maybe he bought himself something he knows you wouldn't approve of. Don't jump to conclusions...give it a little time to see if it surfaces.
