Well I have found that being honest with someone else is great.although being honest with your self is even better!!so the best way to let someone know that you like them would be up to you to find the right time and place and just be yourself and let him know the way that you feel..

Well, if you're shy, take the approach of writing a sweet letter or using different ways to get their attention to test if they notice you.
Or just walk up to them and ask them out. The second way is more recommended and easier, but the first way is best.

How about you let them know with a sweet note or letter...... that always seems to catch my eye.

You can say, "I love spending time with you"...it means the same, but is a bit less awkward for some reason.
