If places like Greenland and Antarctica melt along with the ice shelves, the sea level will rise a lot, flooding major highly populated cities, killing many people.
"don't worry about it, god promised that he would never re-flood the earth. "
God isn't re-flooding the earth, melting ice caps are along with other things, lol. Don't depend on religion for everything, take some responsibility for your world into your own hands.
If you haven't seen the movie An Inconvenient Truth, I recommend watching it for more information on global warming.
Finally, regardless of if there is actually global warming or not.. What's so awful about finding more effecient environment-friendly energy and fuel sources? The economy can adapt, and so can the people.

Ya know, I am not buying into this global warming idea. Man has not been recording the cycles of this earth long enough to know what is really going on. Did we not have, and is there not evidence of glacial periods on this earth where half of the northern hemisphere was covered in ice. Well, what would you consider our time now as compared to that? Hmmmm! maybe global warming, and hey look!, we're still here and so are the animals. How do you explain that away? I believe it's just a way for different ones to try and control people into doing things their way because they don't like us doing things our way. Take Greenland for instance, it's covered in melting ice, yet, they have found archaeological evidence that centuries ago people were farming there, but for the time being, now you can't really because it's too cold and covered in glacier ice.

I have read articles that refute the actual occurrence of global warming/green house effect. Give me a minute and I will try to find a link for you.
Okay, you might try this site. I won't vouch for the validity of the information presented there, but I just thought you might like to check it out.

And I don't necessarily think it is a lie, just heard a dispute about it. I don't have nearly enough knowledge of it to make a call one way or the other.

The Russians will be happy. They won't be so frozen. The oceans will rise 20 feet and flood many major cities which will create lots of good construction jobs. Some crops will die, others will florish.
We face worse problems than Global Warming

I think it's going to happen now even if we do stop it. I understand that the damage is done and higher sea levels and volatile weather will become the norm in the coming decades. We need to limit the damage by constructing flood barriers etc. in vulnerable areas but whether the money or political will exists to do that is doubtful.

I would worry more about stopping all those idiots from trying to create a nuke,or we will have some real global warming sooner than we think.

Global warming is nothing more than a liberal myth created to induce panic in the gullible masses in order to bring about world domination of the liberal fruitcakes.

If things do not change, the change in temperature has been 1 degree every hundred years.
I doubt that your kids will feel much difference.
