what should we do? Say the supercollider experiments we will run in the near future unintentionally create a miniature universe (oh come on, just suppose). Are we morally responsible for the care of this universe?

How often do you think this happens?

Sure. When you make a baby unintentionally you're responsible for it. Universes too!

p.s. Congrats to Doug for being the only Christian who was able to entertain the concept - rather than stick his fingers in his ears and chant "blah blah only god can make a tree!!!"

This is not as stupid a question as some answers appear to imply, in the high energy particle colliders this is a deffinate possibility.

I read an article on this the other day. Basically we would have no control of any universe we created, as it would basically form a bubble splitting off from our own space time and while we would see a singularity briefly appear and then dissappear, we would be causally disconnected from this alternate space time which would entirely separate from ours and continue to expand on its own.

in case you recognize this comedian tale, you will understand the respond on your question. a number of scientists went as much as project God. "we've studied guy and his evolution. we've spent years and money on study to renowned precisely the way it grew to become into executed. we are able to construct a guy as nicely as you." God agreed to the project and bent all the way down to start on his guy. The scientist knelt down and started to scoop up some airborne dirt and mud too. "No you do no longer," mentioned God. "Make your individual airborne dirt and airborne dirt and mud." have you ever questioned why math and technological information is often a hundred%? each time a million is further to a million, it makes 2. every time water is warmth below particular situations, it is going to boil. comparable situations, comparable result. Psychology would not artwork this way. there is rarely a a hundred% in psychology because of the fact it bargains with the ideas. The ideas works outdoors of technological information. One(of MANY) holes in the enormous bang thought(be conscious that's thought, no longer actuality) is the initiating. It says that the initiating, each and every thing grew to become into one extensive solid rock, then it exploded. What happened till now that? the place did the rock come from? somebody might ask the comparable approximately God. God says that he's the initiating, he began all of it. bear in ideas what I mentioned touching directly to the ideas is outdoors of technological information? Even closer to homestead, whilst did existence start up? in accordance to evolutionists, it only began on that's very own at some point, yet they have never been able to reproduction the approach, nor clarify the situation that each and every physique started it.

Yes, I would think that we would owe some responsibility to it. I have often wondered if our universe isn't part of a greater whole. What if our galactic formations were only DNA chains that made up a gigantic, living organism? (I'm sure there must be a name for this theory already).

I'm agreeing with Om. Nicely put.

I dont even think we would know we'd done it. Perhaps we play god without knowing it.

Are we responisble for the care of it. can't be. Perhaps the God which is beyond the universe adn explanation will take them on as children of his creation.

Stuff happens all the time. There are probably lots of universes including parallel universes to ours.

You don’t think there’s only one galaxy do you?

You don’t think there’s only one GOD do you?

I’m just kidding about the god part. There really isn’t even one, or three.

We create universes all the time, and we're responsible for them.

Wow! Some of us can't drive without getting into accidents and we think that we can "accidentally" make a universe? Romans 9:10-11. Everything was created for and by Jesus Christ. Give your life to Him for eternity.

Would we think of these little being in this little universe just the way God thinks of us or would we squash it.

When we discovered that beings in the universe worshipped us, we might try to save it.
