You might want to find some better sources than wikipedia. Just a suggestion. Also, those two things have nothing to do with each other.

There is more to it than just that.
Look at how permissive our society has become, I also dispute your claim that the USA has one of the highest Church attendances, look at Poland or Mexico.
You have to look as cultural differences as well, the Japanese still have strong families, stricter control on their kids.
If you want to make that broad of an assumption, you should look at teen pregnancy ONLY among teens that attend Church.
43 out of 1000 is still a low number!
I would guess that the teens in the USA also have access to more money and have more spare time than teens in the rest of the developed world, could that be the cause instead of Religion?
Maybe we should make our teens work harder in school and keep spare time and money from them instead of blaming Religion.
Peace!
PS, Cardboard, just because 9 out of 10 are doing it, that does NOT make it right or Moral.

Statistics do not always go hand in hand with one another. You may as well have said that the US uses the highest number of gas water heaters and also drunk driving arrests. Does that mean the 2 are connected?
Perhaps all that church attendance is preventing a potential explosion of teen pregnancy?

Hi Salt Flakes,
Interesting but not necessarily corollary observation. You do realize that Japan is a very religious (not Christian) nation don't you? I hope you also realize that The Japanese Government is very much in control of the birth rate of it's citizens. It is not solely a matter of preference there.
Even so, I would agree with your summation that attending a church does not necessarily lead one to moral responsibility.
Lov ya!

They are still religious, just in other religions. They also view sexuality different, with what we would consider porn on their daily TV programs. Of interest, despite the level of porn available in their society, they also have a much lower level of sexual assaults per capita.
Their biggest difference is they promote the intact family, while here, over 50% of children are born outside wedlock. Children without a father in the home account for over 85% of all crime for the last 30 years.

Christianity teaches that we're born bad. People tend to become what they think they are
My girlfriend is Japanese and she said they're really Atheists but they just say they're buddist
She's very sweet and humble

You are grabbing two random studies and linking them. I do not see how the two are related.
This is like saying that the US having high church attendence and the US being the #1 automobile producer are connected.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automobile
Yes, two studies indicate what they indicate, but that does not mean that one influences the other.
