try crystal litter sometimes they don't like the feel of litter, also if there are other cats, i've read sometimes don't cover their poo-bear if nervous, one book said (don't know about that) that the dominant cat doesn't usually cover its poo, i know had one older cat, he was just getting old and didn't feel like it, i would cover it for him or take it out of pooh-bear box, lol

I have two cats. One is a prissy little Calico that goes in, does her thing, jumps out, then turns around and scoops a couple of times at the litter as if it's actually gonna do something. The other cat is the Litter Box Queen. She jumps in and it's all business for her. She'll dig all the way to China. All cats are different. I had another cat that wouldn't cover at all.
You are supposed to clean up the litter box everyday. She might like it super clean. Sprinkle some Arm & Hammer litter box deodorizer after you scoop. Also, make sure you change the litter altogether after you run out of litter. Wash the container and refill it. This will keep the litter box fresh and clean as well as your house.

Yes I have had that problem with this cat I have named Bella. She was a rescue and I got her at age three. She was homeless so I don't think she ever really used a litter box. So she would poop in the box, flip one paw out and barely scratch the cat litter to cover it up. What I found useful was that once she was done I would go to the litter box and use the little shovel and cover up the poop. This made her come back and watch what I was doing to her poop. It made her curious. I did this for about two or three weeks and then she slowly started to cover things up more herself. I also have to keep the litter box really clean because I think her problem is that she doesn't like touching the dirty stuff in the box.
Now Bella and my other cat Faith flick cat litter all over the place when they are in the box that I had to change boxes. I have one that has a top cover to it and it is a life saver.

Not easy, the dominant cat in an area doesn't cover it's poo. The others do as a sign of submission. You kitty is the boss, or thinks she is. How you convince her she's not, I have no idea, I've owned cats all my life and I've never yet been able to convince them that I'm actually the one in charge.
