i don't see him now! but i feel that i love him!?

i knew a boy 5 years ago. we didn't date but we were friends. i liked him very much. i don't know whether he did. then he quited school. i don't see him now, and i don't communicate with him, but i feel that i need him. i think, he's my MR Right, but i don't know what to do. I don't want to make 1st step - to get in touch with him. I was trying and he answered once but then we didn't talk for a long time!! i'm completely depressed about the situation!!!!
